From 255 to....... (Part One)

OK. So, you're probably wondering what the 255 means..... or not.... it may be pretty obvious, lol!! Well, April 2009, I found out I was pre diabetic. The doctor told me if I did not lose weight, I'd be a full blown diabetic within a year. It scared the bu-Jesus out of me because my dad, my mom, and my sister were all diabetic. One thing I knew I didn't want to have to do was poke myself with a needle (I am sooooo afraid of needles!!! lol!!!). I also wanted to be around for a very long time. So, that was my wake up call to get healthy and beat this fat!!!

 My highest weight was 255 lbs!


This picture was taken in January 2010. I lost close to 60 lbs!!! My weight flacutated between 198- 205, however, I keep a good majority of this weight off for close to 3 years.... but.... fast forward to the end of 2012. I was going through alot. Along with everything else going in everyday life, my dad passed away. My kids were grieving. I was grieving. And what better than to eat your pain and sorrows away, right? Well,  by August 2013, I was tipping the scale at 233 lbs!!!! I couldn't believe I was only a meesly 22 lbs from where I began! I was so upset with myself ! At this time, I started changing so much in my life,  I thought, why not get back on my weightlost journey. Well, I did just that! But, instead of it being a "weight lost" journey, it became a "healthy living" journey. I went to Web MD (and any other website that dealt with health) and looked up reciepes, fun exercises, ways to have fun with making my lifestyle healthy.  It took a little bit of adjustment, but, with God's help, we're on the right track!

I don't see a huge change in weight, although, I haven't been on a scale since the end of October.  But, I do see a significant change in my body. for me, that's were it counts!
